Why our car culture tees actually get the details right
Car culture and streetwear have always run on the same fuel: a small, specific detail that only means something if you already know what it is. A GPS pin. A chassis code. A silhouette you'd recognize at 2am from three cars back. Most graphic tees don't bother getting that detail right — they slap a generic car outline on a shirt and call it done. We built ours the other way around.
Why most "car tees" miss
A lot of automotive graphic tees are designed by people who like the idea of car culture more than the cars themselves. The proportions are off, the badge is fictional, the whole thing reads as merch rather than something an actual enthusiast would wear. If you know what a Lancer Evolution IV actually looks like, a generic sketch doesn't cut it.
What we do differently
Every automotive design in the LODE lineup starts from a real car and a real detail. Our EVO Lancer Evolution IV tee is illustrated rally-spec, wing and all, because that's the version people actually love. Our Berlin Underground tee carries real GPS coordinates and the kind of night-drive checkpoint styling you'd expect from an actual street-racing scene, not a stock photo of headlights.
Built like the rest of the range
Same heavyweight cotton, same oversized drop-shoulder cut, same vintage wash as every other LODE piece — the car culture pieces aren't a side project, they're built to the same standard as everything else we make. Fewer pieces, made to matter, whether the reference is a cassette tape or a Group A rally car.
